I suggest legislation that requires every citizen to have a voter ID and must present that ID in order to vote. I also suggest a voting tax credit; while you will have the option to not vote, doing so will grant voters an additional tax credit.
With my Universal Identification (UID) and the creation of a secure election "portal" which would allow ALL registered citizens the ability to vote from anywhere, specifically for the area they claim residency the people will be assured a fair election and will be able to include a much greater percentage of the population. An undertaking like this would require a lot of manpower and would create many jobs to build, maintain and secure the system.
No voting system is 100% secure but my suggested system would give every citizen the ability to vote, no matter where they are. Voters would have to physically have their UID in order to log into the portal as well as a password and a third verification method (fingerprint, facial recognition, security questions or text verification / confirmation). Voters would still have the ability to go to Voting / Polling stations but these locations would all be part of the digital process. Votes would be tallied instantly. If there is a discrepancy in a vote, ie. multiple votes for the same registered UID both, or all votes would be held and that account would be flagged for immediate investigation. The vote would not be counted until verification is completed.
